UCAP-Gun Violence

The Urban Community Action Program (UCAP) to Reduce Gun Violence is a program that is currently in development to work with inner-city adolescents so they won’t resort to violence, particularly gun violence, to resolve conflicts.  The UCAP-Gun Violence program includes modules to address self-image, self-confidence, self-respect and respect for others, conflict resolution skills, academic achievement, and career development.  Our hope is for this program to be refined and distributed to communities across the United States that may be experiencing high levels of gun violence.
